Senior Ecologist
Atlantic58 is seeking an experienced, adaptable, and highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our growing Ecology Team. This role is designed for someone with ecological expertise across flora, fauna, habitats, and ornithology, with experience working within remote, island, or challenging coastal and upland environments.
As Senior Ecologist, you will lead and deliver a wide range of ecological surveys, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), protected species licensing, and Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) monitoring. You will take responsibility for complex projects across renewables, infrastructure, community trusts, and land management sectors. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, line manage junior ecologists and manage client and regulator relationships, with support from our Principal Ecologist.

Technical Director
The Technical Director will have a senior technical and commercial role with responsibility for strategic management and support for Atlantic58's ecological, social and environmental consultancy and research. This appointment represents a newly created role in a growing business, and represents a highly flexible opportunity for an experienced, creative and ambitious individual to tailor the role to the needs of both the existing projects and emerging work opportunities.
The role will maintain oversight of major projects and client relationships, manage workload and resources, support Project Managers, and provide senior commercial and contractual oversight. Depending on the existing environmental skills of the candidate, the role may also allow for Project Directorship of specific roles. The role will also include responsibilities associated with business development, including client liaison, contract negotiation and management, managing and contributing to proposals / tenders, and strategic management of team workload and project requirements. In summary, the successful candidate will provide the framework, oversight and senior support required to enable Project Managers and technical staff to deliver projects successfully, in some cases as Project Director.
This role would suit an experienced, senior environmental or ecological professional who wishes to further develop or expand their skills in wider business / commercial management. The role will report directly to the Managing Director.

Office Administrator (Part-Time)
A position is now available for an Office Administrator to support back-office operations. The role will provide essential administrative, financial, and quality assurance support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations and projects. This role is varied and dynamic, working across the organisation to support technical project delivery, business development, and internal processes. The role is uniquely tailored for someone who has an interest in reviewing documents, reports and proposals, with accompanying word processing and formatting skills. The role will also provide essential project assistance support to technical team leads and will report to and support the Business Coordinator with back-office operations.
