Location: Steinish, Isle of Lewis

Client:  Mossend Residents Association

The Project: Mossend Residents Association aim to develop a coastal path at Steinish, Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.

Our Role: To support the planning application for the footpath, Atlantic58 was commissioned to undertake an otter survey. The associated report highlighted survey results and provided recommendations for protecting otter and associated habitats. An EPS Licence was required and a Species Protection Plan was prepared to support a licence application to NatureScot.

Outcome:  Planning conditions for the development were satisfied and an EPS licence was secured to enable the development to proceed.
