Location: Northwest Scotland, Skye, Isle of Lewis and Argyll and Bute

Client:  Mowi (Scotland) Ltd

The Project: The client is transitioning selected sites (freshwater hatcheries, freshwater fish farms and marine fish farms) to organic status to achieve certification from the Soil Association. Atlantic58 have been commissioned since 2017 to complete high quality environmental reports, accurately describing the site, site operations and associated impacts, to form part of wider Soil Association compliance requirements for organic status.

Our Role: The generation of detailed environmental reports summarising site infrastructure, processes, environmental baseline information and assessments for the application to the Soil Association.

Outcome:   A number of sites have achieved organic certification and are now operating under organic status.

“The reason that we have engaged Atlantic58 is because of their wealth of expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment, knowledge of the aquaculture sector, and their ability to undertake detailed and complex environmental assessments, in addition to providing a range of other complimentary environmental support services. We have developed an extremely effective and productive working relationship across a range of differing development projects with Atlantic58 consistently delivering first-class environmental support, meeting our requirements across a constantly evolving regulatory environment.”
