Sectors

  • Atlantic58 has continuously worked with aquaculture clients since 2017, and has substantial experience in aquaculture EIA, in addition to authoring most technical assessments in-house. The company also provides support to clients to achieve accreditation for organic status for facilities including hatcheries, freshwater sites and full scale marine developments.

  • The Scottish space sector is rapidly growing, and we are currently supporting clients to deliver complex environmental regulatory requirements across the emerging Scottish space sector. Input to date includes supporting the development of spaceport infrastructure, and suborbital / orbital launch licensing under the Space Industry Act 2018.

  • Atlantic58 supports local crofters and grazing committees collate Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) applications to the Scottish Government, a scheme developed to promote land management practices which protect and enhance the natural heritage. Recent applications have focused on management of species rich grasslands, wader habitat and corncrake.

  • Atlantic58 works with a number of renewables clients, providing a range of complementary environmental services for onshore and offshore renewables development, including delivery of individual surveys or technical assessments to coordinating full EIA reports to support planning and licensing applications

  • As a Hebrides based business with a locally based team we have a strong focus on community development. The business has led and supported the delivery of a wide variety of community scale projects as part of feasibility assessments or to understand the socio-economic context of community initiatives. Previous community level projects have covered wide ranging topics from electric vehicle adoption and woodland creation to sustainable fisheries.

  • We have a track record of working with commercial and public sector clients across a range of projects aimed at improving biodiversity and restoring natural habitats, including peatland restoration, new biodiversity enhancement requirements under National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4), fisheries and crofting.
